I bought a couple of power supply regulators, all you do is feed them 1-5V and they spit out a guaranteed 3.3V. Just what I need for the RN-XV’s. So now I have my RN-XV prototype running off it’s own power. I’ve connected two AA batteries through the power regulator, into the VCC and GND pins on the WiFly breakout board.
I’ve noticed some differences in the sensor data I’m getting from it since I switched from using the 3.3V output from the Arduino, so I’ll be looking into that. There are fewer of the random spikes that I Was getting before, which was throwing the graph out slightly.
